As Bratati puts it, her passion and her profession are one and the same. Cultivation of poetry, new experiments and innovative projects are parts and parcels of her life. She has been successful in sparking
interest in poetry in youngsters.
Bratati has never secluded her in the ivory-tower. She is a sincere humanist and a loyal altruist instead. She conducted a workshop with the inmates of the presidency Correctional Home, Kolkata, few years ago. It was one of the first moves of the correctional therapy, a unique project taken up by the West Bengal Correctional Home Services.
Creating new paths is never without challenges. Pioneers are always questioned, criticized and debated upon. Bratati is no exception. But it is this ever stirring emotion that keeps her going. These refresh her and let her reinvent and rejuvenate her work.
Her journey is far from over.

is a pilgrimage for me; it has strengthened my faith in human beings.
I am fortunate enough to have support from my parents, relatives, friends, colleagues, students and well wishers. Everyone is a part of my odyssey.
